Wife of blind rights lawyer Chen Guangcheng, Yuan Weijing, thanks those who have supported her family during years of suppression.
NTD spoke with Yuan Weijing by phone on Thursday local time. She and her family have been staying at a Beijing hospital where Chen Guangcheng is receiving medical treatment.

“I know in so many years, so many friends have been caring for us, we really, really thank these friends.”
Yuan and her two children were brought to Beijing from Shandong province by Chinese authorities as part of deal between the Chinese regime and the United States. Under that deal, Chen Guangcheng left the U.S. Embassy to be reunited with his family at Chaoyang Hospital.
