In the concerns of the China Support Network, Obama/Clinton/Huntsman/Posner ("OCHP") somewhat blur together. The common denominator is that they are the villains responsible for running present-day U.S. China policy, which is akin to its very own crime against humanity.
This used to be the China policy of George Herbert Walker Bush ("GHWB"), and then it was the Bill Clinton China policy, and then it was the George W. Bush China policy, and now it is the OCHP China policy. Bush, Clinton, and Bush set a very bad precedent, and now OCHP are carrying the same tune.

Practitioners of Falun Gong represent two-thirds of the Chinese torture victims and half the people in detention in re-education through labour camps. The documented yearly arbitrary killings and disappearances of Falun Gong exceed by far the totals for any other victim group. According to research that David Kilgour and I have done, set out in our book Bloody Harvest, practitioners have been killed in the tens of thousands since 2001 so that their organs could be sold to patients in need of transplants.

It was supposed to be that engagement with China would help universal values like freedom and human rights to flourish in that country. You'd be forgiven for failing to find examples of Chinese leaders who, after meeting with their Western counterparts, came away touting the benefits of free elections, independent judges, or an end to arbitrary labour camp sentences without trial. Instead, it seems these days it's the Western officials who come away proclaiming they've changed their views. Take the case last week of Ottawa Mayor Larry O’Brien, who a month after returning from China withdrew his promised support for a proclamation recognizing an Ottawa spiritual group whose believers just happen to be persecuted by the communist authorities in China.

Taipei Times: Taiwan urged to export democracy to China
It’s about time for Taiwan to become an "exporter of democracy,” speakers at a conference on the 1989 Tiananmen Massacre said in Taipei yesterday, urging the government to discuss human rights issues during cross-strait negotiations.
"China has become an ‘exporter of authoritarianism — not because of any ideological reasons, but for its own national interests,” said Yiong Cong-ziin, director of the Democratic Progressive Party’s (DPP) Department of Social Movement.
... "As the Chinese government cracks down on Tibetan demonstrators in Lhasa, arrests Chinese human rights activists and even allows live organ harvest of Falun Gong practitioners, we cannot pretend that all these do not happen and we only focus on economic exchanges,” Yiong said.
“If we do, we would become a member of China’s ‘axis of evil,’” he said.

China is not a country with an independent judiciary and the rule of law. There is no means in China of enforcing the promises in the Constitution. What the Constitution of China says is not a reliable indicator of what is happening in China.
... An extremely large group of people subject to the exercise of the whims and power of the state, without recourse to any form of protection of their rights, provides a potential source for organ harvesting of the unwilling. These detention facilities are not just forced labour camps. They are also potential forced organ donor banks.

A leading Congressman says the administration of President Barack Obama has failed to actively participate in a United Nations review of the human rights records of China and three other nations. China has a policy of only allowing families to have one child and violators suffer from a range of human rights abuses from forced abortions and sterilizations to loss of jobs to imprisonment, harassment and house arrest. One of the leading opponents of the forced abortion campaign, blind attorney Chen Guangcheng, has been sentenced to a four year prison term on trumped up charges to prevent him from exposing the abuses to media outlets. 02-13 China's Stubborn Anti-Democracy. Hoping for change isn't enough.
For more than a decade, successive U.S. presidents have declared that political liberalization leading ultimately to democratization in China would be desirable and decidedly in America’s — and the world’s — interests... Many china observers have long been predicting that China’s encounter with market forces or liberal institutions and instruments from the West would spur inevitable democratic change. These observers have been right that China would become more pluralistic and multifaceted. But they have been delusional in thinking that Chinese leaders would simply roll over and relinquish power when presented with new challenges to their rule. On everything ranging from trade to the Internet, from village elections to the rule of law, Chinese rulers have consistently proven China optimists wrong.

Stafetthungerstrejk till Sverige

Gao Zhisheng (AFP)
